The NYC Women in Media & Tech meet-up group is borne of a desire to connect women professionally in an inspired and inspiring way, and to encourage the sharing & spreading of ideas, mentoring and creation of new business ventures among women in media and related technological fields.

The amount of brainpower and innovation out there among professional women in media today is amazing - and I am awestruck by what some women achieve in media and related careers - yet I am simultaneously struck by the relative absence of women in creating opportunities for each other, and for themselves, and really venturing out.

I would like to create opportunities for women to connect, and to build the presence of women in management and entrepreneurial media & technology roles - both by hearing what has been achieved before, and by brainstorming with bright minds about what is yet to be achieved and working towards the new big thing together...

I am looking forward to meeting you all, and to what may come when we synergise beyond the box.
