One Question, One Answer: fourth and final wimLink event for 2008
We are looking for women entrepreneurs who would like to talk about their companies/ventures, and one key question/challenge that they are grappling with - either with the new economy, or out int heir particular industry in general. For example, perhaps I have a startup that produces original video content for the web. I will show all the cool functionality and a great clip and talk about the successes in terms of audience reach, engagement, sponsorship etc and then pose the question... what can the industry do to improve ad spending in the space? Or... these are the two revenue models that we are moving forward with, which should we be directing our energies towards as being the best bet? Etc, etc. Each speaker has between 5-8 mins to present with a very short Q&A for any burning audience questions, after which we are going to open out the forum and discuss some of the key concepts that have emerged throughout the presentation and rehash/discuss them as a group. We already have two of our speakers, and will be making decisions on 1-2 more over the next few days so we can announce the full lineup by the end of the week. think: hakea, ning, lifebooker.com, dulcinea media, Uncensored Interview, the list can go on of great companies with substantial female management/founders/co-founders who can share their learnings and questions with the group. Even more details about the event, and the thinking behind it, can be found on our blog: http://wimlink.blogsp... |
